Survey on the Employment Status of the Disabled in Business
To establish and promote effective employment policy for the disabled, timely efforts to understand and reflect upon the changing needs of this sector's labor market must first be addressed. This survey aims to understand the current employment status of the disabled people in business, and to grasp the factors which are related to employment. it is the only survey on nationwide business in the field of employment of the disabled and it has significance as data which reveal the situation within labor market of the disabled from the demand side.
The data gathered from this survey is twofold. First is basic research regarding overall understanding of the employment of the disabled. The other is an in-depth research project aimed at understanding factors related to employment issues. Basic research information which presents the current employment situation of the disabled is based on 30,000 companies hiring one full-time worker or more. The in-depth research delivers information based on 2,510 companies hiring or not hiring workers with disabilities. In addition, the results of in-depth research analyze factors related to employment issues which include recruitment, personnel management, education and training, recruitment planning, employer satisfaction, working environment, awareness of relevant laws and institutions, experience regarding hiring of the disabled and business operation issues.
